Dr Jeffrey Spodek

Dr. Jeffrey Spodek MD FRCSC

Chief of Urology, SHN

Dr. Spodek obtained his Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from the University of Toronto. He attended Medical School at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He completed his residency in Urology at the University of Western Ontario in 2003. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Spodek worked at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, Ontario for 2 years. In 2005, Dr. Spodek joined Scarborough Health Network where he currently serves as Division Head of Urology. Dr. Spodek has a special interest in prostate disorders, kidney stones and incontinence.

Dr Greg Trottier

Dr. Greg Trottier MD PhD FRCSC

Uro-Oncology

Dr. Trottier completed his Bachelor of Science degree at McGill University. He then completed a PhD in renal pharmacology and hemodynamics followed by medical school at the University of Calgary. His urology residency training took place in Halifax, Nova Scotia at Dalhousie University. He went on to complete an oncology fellowship at the University of Toronto before joining the Scarborough Health Network in 2011. His main interest is in urologic oncology and has research interests in prostate cancer.

Dr Zachary Klinghoffer

Dr. Zachary Klinghoffer MD FRCSC

Minimally-invasive and laparoscopic surgery

Dr. Klinghoffer obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto, attended medical school at Queen's University and completed his urology training at McMaster University. He holds an appointment as a Lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. He mentors other surgeons in Ontario in laparoscopic surgery and GreenLight vapourization of the prostate. Dr. Klinghoffer has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic treatment of kidney tumours, and REZUM for the treatment of enlarged prostates.

Dr. Jafar Hussaen

Dr. Jafar Hussaen MD FRCSC

Reconstructive, functional and neuro-urology

Dr. Hussaen obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from York University. He completed medical school at McGill University. He completed urological residency training at the University of Toronto. He went on to pursue sub-specialty fellowship training at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre through the University of Toronto in reconstructive, functional and neoro-urology. His main interest is in lower and upper urinary tract reconstruction, urethral stricture disease, voiding dysfunction, neuro-urology/urodynamics and general urology.
