Less pain. Less time spent in hospital.
Minimally-invasive surgery, or laparoscopic surgery, is performed through small "keyhole" incisions. This results in less time spent in hospital, less blood loss, less pain, smaller scars and a shorter recovery period compared to traditional open surgery.
Some of the minimally-invasive surgeries we perform include:
Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy
Removal of the entire kidney for the treatment of kidney cancer.
Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy
Removal of a kidney cancer while saving the rest of the normal kidney.
Removal of the entire kidney and ureter for the treatment of cancer.
Removal of the prostate for the treatment of prostate cancer.
Reconstruction of the kidney to relieve urinary tract obstruction.
Removal of the adrenal gland for the treatment of cancer or hormonal abnormalities.
