Minimally-invasive surgery, or laparoscopic surgery, is performed through small "keyhole" incisions.  This results in less time spent in hospital, less blood loss, less pain, smaller scars and a shorter recovery period compared to traditional open surgery.

Some of the minimally-invasive surgeries we perform include:

  • Laparoscopic radical nephrectomy

    • Removal of the entire kidney for the treatment of kidney cancer.

  • Laparoscopic partial nephrectomy

    • Removal of a kidney cancer while saving the rest of the normal kidney.

  • Laparoscopic nephro-ureterectomy

    • Removal of the entire kidney and ureter for the treatment of cancer.

  • Laparoscopic prostatectomy

    • Removal of the prostate for the treatment of prostate cancer.

  • Laparoscopic pyleoplasty

    • Reconstruction of the kidney to relieve urinary tract obstruction.

  • Laparoscopic adrenalectomy

    • Removal of the adrenal gland for the treatment of cancer or hormonal abnormalities.
